My dad actually has a 67 gto convertible, once summer rolls around he drives it at least 2-3 times a week. When he was in high school he actually had a 68 hardtop but someone rear ended him and it was totaled. They are great looking and nice to see in a sea of Camaros, chevelles and mustangs.

Very cool, they’re nice to see, for sure. This one’s a side project one of our techs is working on for a friend, a 400/automatic.

Ya the 67 has a 400 auto as well. The majority of them came with a 400 but sometimes if you get lucky you can find a 428ci GTO for 66-67 maybe 68 also.

Just did now. This is why EPC is nice to have, because while little differences like that are indeed stupid, they don’t surprise me a bit coming from Mercedes. I don’t think I ever noticed that before, but we hardly see any 1st-gen 4Matics here. If you ever need factory parts info, shoot me the VIN & I’ll dig it up.

Nooooo. I’m not extroverted enough for convertibles, and I like cars that keep water out. Mostly. This is a side project belonging to one of the guys’ friends. It’s got upgraded brakes all around and is getting tubular front arms.

Ha ha ha, but why keep liquids out, when you could try to drive fast enough to stay dry?
